No longer fettered by my senses
I breathe the air of a pristine world
Surrounded by the essence of my spirit
As I wander the landscape of my soul
Celestial waters flow and cascade down from atop the mountains
I gaze again at the wonders before me
Ancient symbols of ethereal beauty
The grandeur of this pantheon within
Gives shelter to the hatred of mankind
These symbols of divinity and courage
Are etched on the canvas of my soul
Before I commence my journey
Throughout time and space
I'm left with the heathen beauty
Of a landscape not soon forgotten

After listening to Ysyry Mollvün, listening to Downfall of Nur was urgent and turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made in quite some time: Umbras de Barbagia is simply magisterial; the atmosphere can hardly be compared to anything else. There is a deep, palpable connection to nature imbueing each very fibre of this record. The amalgamation of black metal and folk elements is done with a high intuition for detail and class, resulting in a highly immersive experience. Wonderful.
